My Betta has an Egg Binding Problem, If anyone has knowledge on Fish please help me.

So I have a red female betta who I always had alone on my desk in her 5.5-gallon planted tank and I noticed that she would every once in a while release eggs which I found out online was normal. The problem is I put a 3-gallon planted tank next to it with a male betta and I did not put any divider next to it because I didn't see the presence of the other fish bother either one. It has been months and I have noticed that my female betta is abnormally bloated with a huge bump and stretched-out scales from the bump and I haven't seen her lay eggs since I put the male next to her. The only reason I found out that putting a male next to a female causes egg binding is cause I googled some possible things that might be wrong with her but I never imagined putting a male in a tank next to hers would cause this. I have already put a folder in between the tanks so they can't view each other but what do I do now because the folder has been there for a couple of days and I don't think she has released eggs cause she is just as bloated as before.

Is there any way I can help her or cure this? She swims and acts normal but I am positive she is egg bound and I don't want this condition to negatively affect her or kill her.

Thanks for your answer and yes I have heard of that and I was too scared to do it but it seems like I will have to because she is getting worse with no signs of improvement. @REMsleep
