is it the end of blu-ray players

i just saw a video in the sidebar of youtube saying ' the end of blu-ray players, is it time to panic?'

and i felt a little worried as i have a few blu-rays discs (films) but have not managed to get a blu ray player yet....so i wouldn't want them to be discontinued for obvious reasons....id like to get a blu ray player at some point to watch my blu rays....is this just fake news that i saw, anyone?

They're slowly being phased out and a lot of companies have stopped making them but that certainly doesn't mean you won't be able to pick a brand new blu-ray player up easy enough for the foreseeable future, if not for the rest of your life.

I mean even companies that stop making blu-ray players 2 or 3 years ago are still selling the ones they'd already made off in stores...

So I wouldn't wait around forever just in case they become more expensive or there's a lot less choice in the players available brand new in 5 or 6 years time but I wouldn't exactly be rushing to buy one either and they'll always be available.
