By generation I mean the Pokèmon in that gen and the region

Gen 3 is my favourite because it has so many fantastic Pokèmon and only a few bad ones, gen 1 especially has a LOT of just trash and lazily done Pokèmon

I also love the Hoenn region, the layout is brilliant and it is just a fun and beautiful region

So what's your favourite gen?

Silver was my favorite, I liked yellow but silver had both regions and you just about got to play two games worth, not to mention you could have the coolest ones from the first generation

My real team for silver was just three Pokémon, a Mewtwo with Recover, ice beam, psychic, and thunderbolt, as well as a Lugia with Recover, Aeroblast, Psychic and Thunderbolt, followed up by Jolteon with Pin Missile, Shadow Ball, Thunder, and Thunderbolt

Rarely had to use anything but Jolteon

@Meatboy silver was definitely most fun to replay

Maybe I wasn’t clear, I’m a goofball, I put that team together anytime I played silver or soul silver

@Meatboy you would think so, but that 3 Pokémon dynamic with that move set left anything that moved charred and done

I think I got a kick out of smashing 80+% of it with Jolteon

Pretty much anything that electricity can’t hurt gets destroyed by shadow ball

It’s super effective against psychic Pokémon which are nearly the only ones in silver strong enough that you can’t fry them with thunderbolt despite lack of resistance, and the ground Pokémon usually had very low special so shadow ball is usually down in 1

@th3r0n That's true. I don't really care about strength, I prefer using different Pokèmon that I like

For example, I'm replaying Omega Ruby rn and my team will be Swampert, Gardevoir, Breloom, Camerupt, Salamence and Glalie

I've never used Breloom, Glalie or Camerupt and I like those Pokèmon so I want to use them and like them even more, Swampert, Gardevoir and Salamence I already absolutely love

@Meatboy power was always first to me, but Jolteon was my favorite for style and I found a way to destroy near everything with just him

@th3r0n Yeah ORAS is easily my favourite, tons of fun

Plus what they did for the remakes is just incredible, gen 6 graphics, megas, primals, great cut scenes and the Delta Episode

I wish BDSP was like this and not some lazy 1 to 1 remakes just with smoother graphics
