I am also a shiny hunter. I started shiny hunting last year in Moon and Ultra Sun. I mostly hunt for shiny Pokémon using the sos method and Matsuda (Breeding) Method. Both take a lot of patience but are worth it.

@Nerdyguy92 Believe it or not, those are my three only shines I've ever caught. And I'm an og. Zigzagoon, Oddish, and Medicham. Won't trade them for anything

@Nerdyguy92 I understand. For me, these are my first. And I was actually a try hard for years. Mesuda training, chaining, soft resetting, pure luck, etc...
