So, the One Piece live action adaption...

...is actually good. Kind of. I appreciate how faithfully they're following the original story so far, while making it just different enough that even if you already know the story there'll still be some surprises. Some things don't quite work in live action. Yet, they kind of do. It's a weird mix. And there are also things that work surprisingly well.
I wasn't a fan of how fake everything looked but now I think it was intentional, to make it easier to accept all of the weird, impossible things in this series.

I wonder what people who don't watch or read One Piece or even any anime or manga at all would think of this show.
