@stound yes, I havent read it though. the author references it as inspiration when he was younger, the the main character of the manga almost always has a copy. Do you know what the original novel is about??

@Bayley4Champ I was just reading about it on Wikipedia, I recalled it as mainly poetry; it seems to be, but poetry of the sort that even the french decided 6 of the poems were too far out there and censored them on publication.
