English sub. I just find the Japanese voice actors sound so much more authentic towards the energy of the anime. I find it more entertaining to listen to but as I don't know Japanese I do need English subs to understand haha!
@MysticMermaid456: That is my tale on it as well. And my daughter's. (She's older than you> The true experience is how it was aired in Japan. Not a sub or a dub. In whatever language. A lot are also in French.

Such as this. Which was in the US for a very, very, very limited release. (One theater in Pittsburgh showed it, for ONE showing.) Tickets, had to be bought well in advance online.

There were three parts to this;three films. This is the near the beginning (10 minutes in maybe) of the first one. And this is the best-and ONLY way to enjoy this;in Japanese. Yes, the director/writer uses a LOT of French. There IS a vusual novel for it. In English. But no releases.

I completely agree with you. It's really cool that both you and your daughter enjoy anime. That must be a nice bonding opportunity.

It's also really cool that you live in the US and can get experiences like that, haha, they never do random showings like that in the cinema's here. That must have been an epic experience, so amazing.
@MysticMermaid456: Wee the story (not film) was released in 2006, in Japan. MY son had wanted to see this, and would not drive, so I was the transportation. (He paid for the tickets) In anime circles it WAS an event- as it was a long and hard road to get this to US shores. A lot of of delays in getting it here. This would NOT be my daughter's fare. The theater sits in a remote neighborhood of the Pittsburgh-and is a grand one screen theater. The kind no longer seen.

I was surprised. It was a good film.

That sounds so beautiful. Your family are very lucky, haha. I can't imagine how I would feel if I could watch my favourite anime in a cinema here... I don't think I could handle that emotion hahaha. I'm a very sensitive soul.

@MysticMermaid456: I'll agree to that. Those Japanese people are really great at voice acting.
