Question for people who watched the Made in Abyss Movie [I Love Anime]

(Minor spoiler warning)
IMO Bondrewd is a great villain and his design is cool as hell but I don’t want to like him as a character because of the truly awful things he did. Obviously I know the show isn’t real but I’m still conflicted about it. Does anyone else have this dilemma?

I always look at these things this way: if the creator created such an amazing character that I enjoy their "presence" or "flair" despite being at odds with their actions...well that is a pretty damn great character then, right? :)
