Question for people who watched the Made in Abyss Movie [I Love Anime]

(Minor spoiler warning)
IMO Bondrewd is a great villain and his design is cool as hell but I don’t want to like him as a character because of the truly awful things he did. Obviously I know the show isn’t real but I’m still conflicted about it. Does anyone else have this dilemma?

There is something to be said about admiring a villain--it means they were written so superbly that your genuine interest overwhelms your gut instinct.

I get it for sure--but it's just proof of how good the piece of media is, ya know?? :)
