Question for people who watched the Made in Abyss Movie [I Love Anime]

(Minor spoiler warning)
IMO Bondrewd is a great villain and his design is cool as hell but I don’t want to like him as a character because of the truly awful things he did. Obviously I know the show isn’t real but I’m still conflicted about it. Does anyone else have this dilemma?

I do as well. I honestly have this same struggle with a lot of "morally grey" characters these days. I feel like that's a huge niche these days...making characters so complex that we have a complex ourselves trying to sort them out in our heads?!
