I Love Anime and Manga

you know the fulmetal alchemist symbol in Alphonse's armor? I wanted a shirt with that symbol on it and my strict Christan mother squinted at me. I told her it was an anime but really? am I gonna suddenly wield alchemy and magic by wearing it? It's just an animation. She expressed her dislike for harry potter too. it's not real mother, chill out :/

I absolutely love Fullmetal Alchemist. It's my favorite anime. I have a necklace of the Flamel symbol, the snake through the cross and my mom doesn't like it because it looks really pagan.

Some symbols used in fiction are actually real demonic symbols, that's probably why.

The flamel? It isn't even a negative symbol -- hell, I don't think it's even a purely realistic symbol, though some of what the show uses is. Even if you were deciding to take up alchemy as a hobby, it's not like you're going to start eating children, or conversing with satan.
