I guess my only inquiry there would be did the same suspendion come down on the people who were running rampant saying nuke portland? Because I was NOT the only one discussing controverisal topics. I was largely just offended by the way they kept calling for literally nuking the cities.

and I really don't think calling for EVEN handed and non discretionary enforcement of the rules is unfair. I mean if I'm not allowed to discuss politics then neither should any of the people literally calling for violence on the cities please tell me tha non selective enforcement is not too much to ask for ?

I Fear that the people I'm talking about are insiders and more popular on the site and favoritism was enacted against me because I dissented from majority opinion in the channnel. it was more than likely of the rules posted that I broke the rule against controversial topics if I had to HAZARD a guess but my frustration about this is that I don't know that I was not singled out while everyone else that delved into these topics was openly tolerated and it just wreaks of favoritism in a way the optics are not good on. A majority of the other people in the channel were rural conservatives resentful and angry at the ciites for being left wing enclaves and literally calling for nuclear weapons to be dropped on our corner of the country, and Frankly the people saying it were the majority of #animebytes as a channel i'm not afraid to delve into politics I literally run a facebook account that talks about it as nearly the only thing I ever bother to comment on i barely talk about anything else on there. Maybe Anime, I take a shit ton of Heat for my opinions but I'm a voluntary lightning rod who understands the overton window and that by advocating far more extreme opinions that lie well outside it and taking the blows that come I make more moderate reformers seem more reasonable by contrast so I'm well willing to take social backlash for for instance calling for abolishing the patent system. but that's a whole other issue but this personality quirk is almost certainly what got me into trouble on IRC but my um, discontent is not that it wasn't fair to punish me for discussing thoese topics, its simply that I feel how popular a user happens to be on the site should really have nothing to do with if a rule is enforced against them.
my concern is that I'm a bit of a Misfit with majority views of the issue on here and that the ban hammer only came down on me despite not being the only one to court controversy.
