One Piece fans are... just ugh!

@Redstar [c=359E00]i actually read from chapter 1 until usopp join the crew, then randomly read at chapter 300-ish. From what i see it's just another typical mainstream shonen, which is pretty generic, you know.. childish and hot headed main protagonist, they are also idiot with big appetite, then there is i wanna be this i wanna be that thingy, never give up thingy, friendship thingy, edgy rival thingy. Everything is the same, it just the world setting that different, one is ninja, one is pirate, one is school, the basic formula is the same. I'm pretty aware that a lot of people didn't give a damn about the formula, because no one really care, fact is people watch mainstream shonen for the action, as long as they watch characters punching each other with flashy moves they are already feel entertained, well.. but not me 🤷‍♀️

And about the part of being repetitive was heard from other, not only one source but from many sources, so i can get a conclusion from them. Of course every arcs are visually different, but basicly the formula is the same, the crew get into an island, they found out the island suppressed by somekind of villains, luffy charging without thinking, villain defeated, they left the island and repeat the process to the crew get into an island part[/c]

So you're only basing this on what you heard? Because as someone who actually watches One Piece, I can honestly tell you that every arc is not repetitive at all. One of the things that people who watch/read it like about One Piece is that every arc is different. That's one of the key selling points.... so whoever said it's repetitive is an idiot or a troll.

It's certainly not generic. You'll probably think I'm just some fanboy talking about my ass but One Piece is probably the exact opposite of generic considering how creative it is. It has shonen tropes because, well, it's shonen but even those have started to be subverted.
The world building and imagination of the mangaka (creator of the manga that the anime is adapted from) is astounding, considering how many characters, races, powers etc he creates and has to keep track of.

I really couldn't care less if you don't like it but it sounds like you're harshly judging something despite never having even watched it.
And apparently you hate people just for liking something that you don't.... 🤨 It's not even something important, it's [i]just [/i]an anime/manga.

the first 5 episodes or so are hilarious then it gets repetitive
