I Am Agnostic

I feel pathetic to how religion corrupt a person's mind. As a Harry Potter fan, I bought a shirt with deathly hallows symbol on it. My eccentric Christian friend started to go crazy thinking it was devil's sign. Then a film came out and since the lead character's personality was similar to Lucifer demon, the film put up a lot of obvious devil signs all over the movie for dramatic effect and again she went ballistic and started to tell everyone not to watch the movie. 😷😷😷😷

as someone who has actually witnessed a person that is possessed with a demon, your friend has your best interest in mind..hoping you do not get caught up in demonic activity...it's no laughing matter, no matter how 'entertaining' it may appear on the surface

😆@booboo It is definitely a laughing matter

@Fernie it's all fun and games till the SHTF...

@booboo the only shit is religion...evil, mind controlling, violent, anti-woman. anti-education, anti-free will, anti-SANE religion and the godbots who buy into it.

Why is she pathetic? As a Christian I too would not like that sort of thing. But i dont understand why, as someone who is obviously so free and open minded, why do you judge others who happen to believe something different then you do?
Why do you slam her, calling her pathetic, when you yourself are also buying into something just as spiritual, but only on the other side of the line.
Who is right? Can you tell me with 100% certainty that you are, or are you basing your beliefs on your own feelings and conclusions?

@OlderDude no one asked or forced her to watch the movie or wear that shirt. No one even asked her opinion about the movie too. She had a choice to ignore it and mind her own business.

Well, doesnt matter the subject of the movie if there were devil signs in it, then I can understand how it would be of concern to a her. I would be uneasy watching it as well.
She was affected by it, was her reaction reasonable? I dont know, I'd have to talk to her as well and see what she felt. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.

@OlderDude it's a movie. A fiction. All of those were pointing to the character's personality. It's not like anyone was supporting it.

I'll never understand it either. Angels, demons, curses and all that other junk only exist if you believe they do, they have no bearing on the real world. The fact some people are so certain they're right because they read an ancient, constantly reworked book of fairytales is what I find terrifying.

Any symbols whether it fiction or not can triggered religion's people. Most of them got carried away and use conspiracy theory and relating it to movie. 🤷‍♀️

I avoid to wear those shirts. I don't want to have argument with them.
Sounds like your friend is suffering a mental illness and has lost touch with reality. It isn't religion that has done it to her but her own mind. She needs to see a therapist

There really is such a thing as evil, and your friend is very in tune with it. I have nothing evil in my house , including evil books. You see you can put curses on yourself without even knowing it.
JBird · F
@Carazaa it's a movie. You people really need to understand the difference between a movie and reality. And calling a fictional symbol from a novel as devil's sign is stupid. Tagging everything that's unknown to you as demonic really is pathetic.

you need new friends

@Fernie Exactly. Don't hang out with people if you're going to
disagree with their beliefs all the time. It's not much fun for them, either......
