My generation has to make choices.

We are faced with the responsibility to defend Africa from those who see it as nothing more than a territory to be carved up for their benefit through their facades of diplomacy. Our wealth, our land, our people have been exploited for too long. Now we must take control of our future, build our resources, and strengthen our economies with science and reason as our guide.

The world is in flux, changing in ways that leave no space for complacency. This is an opportunity. Those of us who have been wandering far, chasing promises of safety and prosperity abroad, must either return or find a way to contribute. It’s no longer a question of survival alone, but of dignity. We deserve to be powerful and it is time.

I used to believe in the world as a place of potential balance. But with age, I've come to see it for what it is an arena of conflict always, a competition where OUR labor, OUR intellect, and OUR very blood have fueled the rise of others. And while their people have accepted it the way it is, and accept to live as slaves to the wealthy, we don't have to. We can create the conditions by which we change it. We have no obligation to remain blind to the reality that we are the foundation upon which they stand.

I feel like you should be on a podium somewhere...

Youre a woman who can get things done if you're given the chance to deliver this message to a big group in person

@SledgeHammer This is how you picture me

But in reality, I typed that while tucked in a huge blanket like this
