On my mom’s side, they were from the Philippines. They died in their 80s. They spoke no English and I only met them once when I was 13.
On my dad’s side, my grandfather died when I was 4, so I don’t remember him. My grandmother died a year later, but I do remember her. She used to give me butterscotch candies because those were my favorite.
