Were great people. Resilient, principled, loving.

Warm memories of my grandmother's little kitchen. First thing she did was sit you down for tea and a chat.

Grandfather was a weathered journeyman. We'd sit and talk late into the night, trading tales of adventure.

@SethGreene531 Share a story. :)
@Riemann LOL, there was a near miss with a mountain lion and a shotgun in the deep woods. Grandfather was the victor.

Consumption, pregnancy, illness without antibiotic. Recoveries on faith of a community alone.

Great grandmother still had a magazine breaking news of the Titanic.

I think there's a ghost story or two in there somewhere also.

What were yours like? Do you have good memories of them?

@SethGreene531 Granpa saved the community in the independence war. Granma is a kind smart lady who was a housewife. I heard war stories from her.
@Riemann That's incredible! History come alive. Rare glimpse through their eyes, these are the stories that need to be preserved.

Amazing. We have few war veterans in mine.
