Trying to Make Friends

I can see that trying to meet new people on Similar Worlds on Friday nights is probably not the best time.

My guess is most other people aren't like me. They don't stay in on Friday nights. Maybe they log in and look at messages or something while waiting for a friend to arrive. Or waiting for a spouse or partner to get ready. Perhaps they are going out to dinner. Or to a bar for drinks to unwind after a stressful week of work. Not something a retiree has to deal with.

Regardless of their quick stopover reasons, it seems to be in and out. Before I can even finish reviewing their profile, which I always do prior to sending an initial message, they have departed the premises.

@RedBaron I think it's quite apparent you and I view things quite differently. This is part of real life for me. I have an online and offline presence, but all my life is real life. And please don't presume or assume I am just figuring out this whole online website world. I started out in the world on internet relay chat (irc) chat rooms in the early to mid 1990s. I was on EP from 2010-2016. And this is my third go round here. I was merely making an observation with this post, not looking for guidance. It was for the purpose of me making myself a mental note

@RSquared I've got to agree with @RedBaron you won't find a real world here it's just not busy enough and then you get on well with somebody and they just disappear and a dozen other occurrences that make people come and go in an instant.
