Dragonflies are so cool. They are everywhere around the farm, especially the lake. Every time I go fishing, they land all over the boat, keeping an eye on me. Lots of different colored species. The biologist who takes care of the lake told me that if Dragonflies weighed 5 pounds, they would be the most voracious predator on the planet, and life would be short for most other species.

They are indeed. I've loved them all my life. I always know when summer is coming to an end. They are everywhere here. I find it interesting that they spend most of their lives in water, only flying out and about at the end. As if they have a world to see before it's over.
