This is how I interpret any 'wise words' from anywhere.
How does this make me feel personally? Does it bring love or fear? Does it bring separation or oneness? Does it tell me I am better than those who choose a different path? - Etc.
If it is fear and separation and superiority or any such - I discard it.

@SW-User So you want to feel good, not to know God?

SW-User
@Carazaa I want to not be judged for where I am in my beliefs today, especially by other humans. Thanks. I am not rigid in my beliefs, I am changeable. But today, this is where I am.

@SW-User OK Got it, I was just asking, you don't really care about what God says then, ok! Now I understand. God is tough on us I admit, I want the truth and nothing but the truth from God. I do not want to feel good with a bunch of lies. I say this to challenge you because I think the word of God is a serious business. I don't read it to feel good but to be challenged to change and grow. I think most are like you they hate God telling them that they are sinners, needing repentance, and there is one who sacrifized his life for you, only one, because he loves you.🌷

@Carazaa Wow, you got all that from my words? That's your perspective, not my meaning. 🙏

I am just trying to understand you when you wrote this, it seems you said two things.
1. your own feelings are your measuring stick.
2. And you are judging the Bible and discard it because it brings fear ( God intends to bring us to truth, he says "I am a consuming fire"" and Jesus says "I did not come to bring peace but a sword". ) So you will dismiss it even if it is the truth?
Let me ask you something. If there is a fire nextdoor, and I knock on your door and yell "there is a fire next door." Do I care about you or not?

@Carazaa
My intuition is a measuring stick, yes. To me, what people call God, is love. Not fear.
I don't follow any religion, that doesnt mean I am judging the bible or any other book. I don't think any religion or religious book is superior to another either. What you interpret here is you personalising it and getting defensive about what you believe in because someone else doesn't.
Jesus's words were interpreted by man and written by man. There is no guarantee this man didn't twist it by his perception.
Let me tell you one thing. If there is a fire next door, you will not personally come to knock on my door. You will stand on the street in a safe place and scream fire.
I don't know why it matters so much to you what I believe in. I'm not concerned with your beliefs, why are you with mine?

@SW-User I would not stand and yell fire I would knock on your door. Why am I concerned about you and your belief? Because I know the truth and I care about you.
