Taking it Slow

I discovered this site by a fluke and I find so much about it interesting... But I'm taking it slow as far as revealing much about myself personally. That's probably not really fair to those who have such courage to say what they really feel. I hope I can get there too.
My question is have you revealed things here you haven't told people elsewhere and what has been the result? Has anyone had a negative experience from sharing here? Or a very positive one?

There are a LOT of catfish, trolls and scammers here, so your hesitation is warranted.

Just relax, be yourself, and until you feel comfortable, don't share any personally identifying information here. And even then, be very cautious. Better to err on the side of not providing enough info than too much.
