People are as they have become according to their circumstances

We all think we have triumphed in life somehow to be able to hang a label on ourselves. Mathematician, Academic, Teacher, Civil Servant, Doctor, Nurse, Firefighter, Carpenter, Engineer, or Police Officer, Gendarme. All labels which channel conceptions of character.

People are like that, labels are what matter, it gives credibility to them. They can define a person and move on. But what about polymaths? How do they feel being of mixed labels or none, because they haven't sought this differentiation?

The wisest observation was argued in a song, the lyrics by James Douglas Morrison, 'people are strange!'
I always found labels very limiting, even combinations of them are still categorizations while everyone is unique.

You might find reading the writings of William Blake interesting.
