Last night, we went to visit hubby's elderly Aunt in hospital. Shes doing well, but has dementia and is very confused as to why she can't come home.
While chatting to Auntie, I noticed there was a different lady in the next bed. She exchanged a smile and she looked a little familiar, but I didn't really recognise her. Then I looked at the name above her bed. A very uncommon name......and I knew immediately who this lady was! I said her name out loud and said 'oh my Hubs!! This lovely lady made our wedding cake!!' We had a nice natter remembering how we got to know each other through a good friend of mine's mum being this lady's best friend! It was so lovely to see her....after 35 years!!! Here's the beautiful cake she made us!
