@Saage I am less likely to believe that in the case of those who have been here for years..and the temptation plus the fixation being kids. They aren't going to leave.

@Miram I think they might leave if SW really changed a lot, but it's probably never gonna change to such a degree. It's a shame because I feel like this site has a lot of potential that will never amount to anything, as long as the admins don't do anything about those types of people. They're way too cozy here, when on most other websites they'd be perma banned instantly.

The more automated, with AI the moderation of this site becomes, the less are the chances that anything is really going to happen unless they'll get threatened with investigations and law suits.

@SUPERVlXEN The admins have said that they really do contact the police in cases where there's blatant evidence. They have access to posts and comments some time after deletion as well. I just don't understand why let them stay and investigate, instead of getting them off the platform, and I'm not sure those investigations happen very often, if ever. /=

@Saage The evidence required for an actual conviction is pretty heavy. So even when cases are reported, in most countries, law enforcement only investigates and follows with those they know are winnable and have good chance of winning.

Well, in general a lot more than just ousting pedophiles would need to happen to make this place functioning. People are allowed back, even if they received a perma ban just coz they managed to keep a low profile for more than one month on a new account without being reported. People being perma banned for harassing the younger women around here have been allowed back coz they plead to change their attitude while still operating at least three accounts whereof some are appearing female and used to address people that dislike them under their main account. It's all about an overall approach and if ready to take losses on lesser numbers to cash in on when living up to what is preached. Our well-being isn't really the number one target...

This doesn't apply to every case, but sometimes you have to leave a profile up and active because it is a part of a ring, a circle of freaks. It is a bait. Just sometimes though.

A lot of times it is just neglect.

@SUPERVlXEN Yeah it's funny because I think if there were less creeps and pedos, there would be more normal people here, that way it might even out.

@Miram I've seen the admins mention in posts why they need to let some of these people stay, and I get it, and try not to call them out publicly (only report privately), to not disturb anything, but it honestly doesn't make sense to me to give them all a place like this to congregate, with even fetish content allowed, which pedos use as a guise (like conversations about being spanked as a child), mainly because even if minors and adults are seperated, there are minors here, and things slip through the cracks. There's really no excuse for making SW this comfortable for them.

@Saage I agree with you. And they are things I argued about with the admins repeatedly. Some of my friends got banned for getting involved in those arguments, in an "uncivil" manner.

I have stopped trying to understand or argue about these decisions. I contact law enforcement directly when I find things that can hold weight off this place, report what I think should get purged, sometimes directly contact the admins but no longer as frequently as I used to.

I do agree, but admins must have made a business analysis on how to deal with this and the results is what we see on the boards.

I've seen how the banned people come back to call victims on themselves, and to keep up their crap and block the few of us calling them out on it. And frankly, I'm close giving up on warning my freiends when I see them interact with them, there are too many of them.
