This is what liking a person means and it's very sad it doesn't happen more often.
KazTheRunaway · 31-35, F
@CrazyMusicLover Right? If it happened more often maybe i wouldn't be freaking out that i might be catching feelings just from being happy. Sad...
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@KazTheRunaway I'm more worried they might misinterpret my enthusiasm as something more than it is so I try to hold back. 😅
KazTheRunaway · 31-35, F
@CrazyMusicLover lol totally valid. I sort of grew up brainwashing myself that guys don't like me enough to have that problem. Made for some awkward moments down the line lol

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
I wouldn't worry about labelling it.
I suspect it's more to do with the environment you find yourself in.

Sometimes we feel our school/college/class/workplace is oppressive and difficult. But if you have that one person who makes such an environment tolerable you obviously look forward to seeing them.

You make no mention anything remotely romantic about him nor whether it's reciprocal so it doesn't sound like that's a good place to be thinking
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@KazTheRunaway I've known this situation many times.
And it's good that you are aware of the difference.
Nothing worse than assuming one thing and it turns out to be the other
KazTheRunaway · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 so very true 👍

@Picklebobble2 great reply.

To me, that just sounds like you like the person and get along well. I love finding people that I feel a connection with.

It’s pretty rare for me to have romantic feelings for someone, so I’m not sure if it’s the same for other people, but it feels more intense and being physically close to/touching them is exciting.
KazTheRunaway · 31-35, F
@itsok Hmm I guess that makes sense. I definitely wouldnt mind being affectionate but thats basically how i feel about anyone i care about. Its been a long time since my last romantic interest so any atypical stirring makes me worried lol
WolfGirlwh0r3 · 36-40, T
its called a crush
KazTheRunaway · 31-35, F
@WolfGirlwh0r3 I didn't know that. But i now i do 😊
WolfGirlwh0r3 · 36-40, T
@KazTheRunaway yup so go get your Squish on onto your coworker
KazTheRunaway · 31-35, F
@WolfGirlwh0r3 will do! 😋

Is the feeling mutual? Are you pair bonding?

The concept of a best friend or work-spouse is not uncommon. You're with these people more often than you are probably at home. You have to trust them. They trust you. It's can be a partnership.

Now... romantic is a whole different story. The flames have to be running hot at the same time.
NerdySoph · 26-30, F
You like them and being around them.
Labels are not necessary :) Enjoy the infatuation.
Time will tell
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
Definitely not a romantic interest necessarily though it might be. Just kindred spirits with matching energy, I think.
RosaMarie · 41-45, F
Why can't it be both?
ArtieKat · M
I used to call it "infatuation".
It's called anima, how another person makes you feel by their vibes.
