Real life is stranger than fiction sometimes

This morning as I was driving to the DMV to renew my tags, a car pulled up beside me at the red light, it is a rather unique car and resembles the one a former work colleague owned, last time I saw them was about 8 years ago but it reminded me of them even if it was someone else much younger driving the car, same model totally different car and newer. As I'm sitting in the DMV waiting my turn, who should walk in but my former colleague and his wife to renew their tags too. Totally coincidental as I asked if they still had that car and was told they'd sold it like 5 years ago. Now I wonder what made me think of them, they were probably close to that intersection at the time as I was as they arrived at the DMV about 5 minutes after me. Why did I think of them? could it be their proximity to the intersection? That we were headed to the same location? Intuition? Regardless it was nice to see someone familiar from my past, quirky or what though?
