I think my fwb likes me???

Yesterday I joked that I was with another guy and he said he’d get jealous if it was true, and I kept asking why, but all he said was that he “trusts me”. Does he think I’m his girlfriend or that we’re dating or something??? He’s never asked me to be his gf. It’s a bit hard to communicate sometimes because he barely speaks English.
