Is it attentive or just normal to pick up open questions from recently without being asked to?

I found it nice of one woman to do so on something that we both knew was important to me, but now her friend thought that she should do so as well on something way less important. She seems to try to be as nice to me as the other woman and does know that I like this woman. They both have a boyfriend, but the other woman never mentions it really, but her friend does for her. 🙄

Is she trying to make me like her instead of the other woman?
