Coz I don’t think there’s anything funny about that feature.

And I’m glad my closest friends are just like me, in this regard.

This downvote feature is totally useless in my opinion, no idea why it was introduced in the first place. I mean, I've read the explanation, but I still don't get it.

What´s the meaning to give the haters and bullies here another "weapon" in their hands with which they can make life difficult for others? Anonymously at that?

Supposedly it can't do any significant damage, but I'm waiting for the day when there's the first mass down vote... how are they going to protect the members here from that if they can't even manage to protect them from unjustified mass reports?

It’s nothing to be bothered about as long as we’re not saying anything negative or demeaning. Which I don’t think you or me post about anyways. So that is why we don’t need to be bothered.

Its a good way to catch the real trolls and stalkers though...you know the ones who block you from their real accounts and then bully you like cowards using alt accounts? This feature is to burn their candy ass. 😊l@RobinPhoenix

@Vivaci I have already received 2 down votes,... one for a positive uplifting post and one for a comment to a comment of a user insulting one of my friends... I was not insulting him, just asked the other to leave my friend alone... so you get such down votes also for good, positive things or just like that, without any reason and that's exactly what I mean. I'm not worried about me, I can handle it, it annoys me a bit but mainly I think those anonymous down voter are ridiculous.I'm worried about the members who are more sensitive, who struggle with self-doubt and have a vulnerable self-esteem.... Such users can be completely thrown off track by just one down vote and possibly become so insecure that they no longer dare to post here and talk about their problems.

And how will the admins control that? And how quickly will they react if one or more users are bullying another? Sorry, but I have my doubts that this will work as well as you imagine. But thanks anyway for your explanation :)

Don’t worry, the new algorithm will track down the mischief mongers, and keep a record of those downvoting with hidden agendas.

Good it doesn’t bother you. I think it’ll be very clear with time that the good ones who post about their personal problems and who are targeted by the bullies here, needn’t worry. The system will automatically highlight the bad ones after a while. @RobinPhoenix

I hope it will be this way.. only one thing bothers me about what you say: the statement "with time and after a while" I would be more comfortable knowing it would only take hours and not days or weeks for those who abuse the button to be discovered.
