I’ve worked both and would take rehab over hospital any day and twice on a Sunday !
Rehab and patients might be surly; angry or violent but after two or three days, withdrawal starts to kick in and they have less physical fight within them.
Mental hospitals tend to be poorly staffed and patients more unpredictable in their behaviour.
Even if you think they’re doped up to the gills !
