I am better than many but can be made into a skating pylon by many others. I used to skate every day in the winter but now they want to charge you to skate.

@hippyjoe1955 well skating rinks aren’t cheap it costs to maintain them , and keep the ice from melting and to give the shoes to customers it’s costs , soo I need to charge hehe

@Monalisasmith86 When I was in elementary school they would flood the school parking lot and turn it into a skating rink. Every day the rink existed we would skate on it. Did you know that when it is 40 below the ice becomes very brittle and is hard to skate on?

@hippyjoe1955 yes you can fall into it I think haha 😝

@Monalisasmith86 It kind of turns to powder. Not much fun skating on though. But we did it and the teachers congratulated those of us went out at -40. We would be out for an hour at noon. Good times.

@hippyjoe1955 I have been out in snow in reliegh , ( my cousins live there) and shorts didn’t feel the cold at all , if you think about it , blankets of snow, keeps you warm like an igloo

@Monalisasmith86 Just don't over heat the igloo. It melts and makes you wet when it does. I always preferred what we called an Athabasca Snow Hut. Basically it a tunnel in the snow that has just enough room for you and a sleeping bag to lie down. It can keep you warm at 40 below.
