The Art of Figure Skating

From an early age, I wanted to be a figure skater. The first moment I watched a figure skating competition in the Olympics, I fell in love with this wonderful sport. I dreamed of dancing on ice while beautiful music plays, feeling the air rush through while gliding on ice, expressing technical skills and myriad emotions through dance. Alas, my dream did not come true, life taking me to walk another path... but to this day, my love for figure skating is as strong as it has always been.

I created this forum for those who, like me, love figure skating, and who appreciate this artform which combines the performance art of music, dance and interpretation, where nations come together in peace, with the only objective of sharing beauty and harmony.... things our world are in dire need of.

It is beautiful, my daughter started last year.
I enjoy watching her and the others at the skate sessions.
@Sutten

I'm sure she will love it all her life. It's fun to do and watch, indeed. I can't wait to get back on ice!☺
Ice skating wasn’t my forte either, but I’ve always loved watching it, along with gymnastics. Like flying without wings.
@Mamapolo2016

I watch Gymnastics too.

That's what it feels like, ''flying without wings'', especially when you have the skating rink all to yourself and you dance to a beautiful melody with your arms wide open☺
Which part of Spain do you think would be the nicest to host the winter Olympics? Somewhere in the Pyrenees, or the Sierra Nevada in Andalucia, or somewhere else?
@BlueGreenGrey

Oh, it's hard to choose....because look. . . . both are beautiful to host the winter olympics.

This is The Pyrenees :

..and this is Sierra Nevada:
