What skills do you have that you take for granted?

I can do landscaping and gardening. Im surprised when I hear people say they dont know how to do it.
I can also build websites, which my aunt told me not everyone can do.
When it comes to building things with wood I'm clueless. The directions use terms and tools I've never heard of before, but people who are familiar with it know exactly what the directions are talking about without even having to put much thought to it.

I can drive and operate tractors, combines , large trucks, strippers ( cotton) , and any standard transmission . I can read and write cursive . I can weld, use power saws and routers. I can shoot ( accurately ) with a rifle , pistol, shot gun, or bow . I can field dress game animals. Those things I grew up seeing all the time and doing

@TexChik good skills to have. Im working on learning how to shoot accurately with my bow. Its set really low right now to like 20 but once i get better i'll get it set higher

@morrgin I have worked my way up to 70# on my Matthews. My bow has a 70% let off, so I can hold it once I get it to break, but dayum! I may have to stick with 65. 20 pounds is really low. With a release you should be able to do 50 pounds easily

@TexChik yes i have a release. I also have a protector over my arm cuz when i first got my bow i shot it and the string got me which scared me away from trying again. I probably dont need it, but it makes me feel better and more confident

@morrgin Really? I have never had that happen, but the arm guards are available, so its definitely a thing. It's a lot of fun just shooting.

@TexChik i alway lose one of my shot. I think maybe the angle makes it go under the grass and into the soft ground

@morrgin No bowsight? The judo target points . Those grab the grass

@TexChik i need my sights adjusted and learn how to use them. Soon as i ignored them i finally hit the target

@morrgin I would say so . Your peep placement in your string is crucial . If you were not the original owner then likely it needs to be moved . That’s a bow shop task . Then adjust your pins . The bow shop should have a target in the back for you to shoot

@TexChik i got it brand new 2 years ago
