He has clearly had five, including a diagonal one. Assuming it was to be a six-er, he has one more to go. It looks as though it will be a very firm one. Look at how she is "leaning-in"! Perhaps this is a new meaning to the concept!

@Strictmother Double-ouch with each lick. In the drawing, what is the implement? Crook handle suggests that it might be a discipline cane but flexed curve suggests it might be a two tailed tawse.
