For her, forgoing love seemed like a fair trade off to rule un-challenged. But, some nobles did not appreciate her straying from tradition. When she turned down the proposal of Oberon Aven, a young duke from a respected family, the Avens staged a rebellion to take over the throne.

It was she who called for a truce, tired of seeing her people slaughtered with no end to the war in sight. There are those displeased with her, believing the truce to be a show of weakness. But, Mab is still adamant her decision was the right one. The Seelie Queen is popular amongst the people of her court. She has put large amounts of the monarchy’s gold into ensuring that her people are fed and happy. Mab is no tyrant like the King and Queen of the Unseelie court. It is her firm belief that she must always think of the wellbeing of her people over all things. But, it is not wise to mistake the Seelie Queen’s kind nature for weakness. Queen Mab is capable of using force, becoming fierce when her court is threatened. She is known to have ridden out with her army on many occasions to lead them into battle.[/code]
