I think it's best to resolve issues privately (online), when possible, instead of publicly calling the other party out (like inboxing them instead of quoting them on a forum). I think it's akin to taking them aside and discussing the matter in a different room rather than airing your grievances with them at a dinner for 10, trying to start a fight.
