I was born in a capitol city in a time of peace between wars. I am the son of an extraordinary common man. I was raised near the center of power, a witness to things both great and mundane. As a child, I was touched by the high and the low, the great and the infamous, the mighty and the meek. I became a traveler, a warrior, an explorer, experimenter, risk taker, and discoverer. I am in a way a storyteller or minstrel, willing to share my life and stories with those who are interested.
I am a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. I am a citizen, patriot, and veteran. I am an American conservative libertarian. I believe that freedom means the freedom to succeed or to fail and that the choice is mine. I believe in the liberty to do and say what I want so long as I do not infringe on the freedom or liberty of others. I accept that liberty means that others may make choices different from mine. I believe that the best government is the government that governs the least. I believe that Democracy, in all its forms, is the worst form of Government in human history – except all others.
I am happy in my life and the choices I have made, both good and bad. I am who I am today because of both my successes and my failures. I regret nothing I have done and would do most of it again. One of my few regrets is that I did not realize, or admit to myself, that I am bisexual, until fairly recently. I hate no one (although there are a few I could probably hate if I tried). There is little I have not tried and little I would not try again. What I have not yet tried are mostly on my list of things to do. I am spiritual, sensitive, sensuous, and sexual. I understand that the most important human sex organ is the mind and that fantasy is the mind’s means of expression. Whether I act on my fantasy or not is a choice for me to make when opportunity is at hand. You would probably be surprised at what I would do. I am a bit of an exhibitionist, quite a voyeur, and probably polysexual (another story for another time) In respect for my wife’s preference, I am a practicing monogamist; While in my dreams I find whatever two can do three or more can do better. I am an individual with freedom of choice and choice of freedom.
Hobbies and Interests
I have many interests and few hobbies. I love to read, to write, to talk, and to listen. Politics is my sport, political philosophy my passion. I love to travel, to see new places, experience new things, meet new people. To the extent I am able, I love to explore new worlds through snorkeling and SCUBA. I would visit the stars if only I could. Photography is another passion I take seriously. I find it difficult to pass a road or path not previously taken, so off-road motoring is a real love and works well with many of my other interests. When boating, I cannot pass an island unvisited. Time on or under the water is better than almost anything but sex, but given a choice I’ll take sail over engine any day.
Sex is an interest, but not an obsession. I think about it frequently in all its combinations and permutations. Sex is a team sport where the number of players is indeterminate and the rules dynamic.
Favorite Things
My favorite things are too innumerable to name, but here are a few: I love to sit by a babbling stream in a cool and quiet forest. I love to sit at the peak of a high mountain and watch the sun set. I love to float near the floor of a warm and clear sea, surrounded by fish and life so abundant. I love the power and majesty of the sea in the midst of a typhoon.
I love to hear the story told by a Beethoven symphony, to feel the emotional excitement of a Led Zepplin jam, to literally see, feel, and taste the music of Pink Floyd. I love the rich smell of fertile earth and tropical flowers in the Philippine Sea and the incredible sparkle of photophors that literally light up the South China Sea.
I am moved by the smell and taste of a woman’s nether lips, the curve of a breast beneath my fingers, the tremor of her belly and the sound of her breath when she is moved by my ministration. I can think of no greater reward in life than to experience through sensation, sight, sound, and smell, the ecstasy of my lover in the throes of orgasm, except maybe the warmth and intimacy of her arms when I need to know, simply, I am loved.
