I always thought it would be cool to have a set.
I have a 1050 Bolens i use for everything but mowing, i did have a picture of it with ny little planter planting sweet corn but i can't find it.
It looked new like yours back in 97 but i use it alot.
Ill have to get some pics later.

@Virgo79 the original old bolens was a very cool piece also. Very durable and heavy duty. The newer ones were just the name decaled on an MTD. But that's true with most of the old names including Cub cadet also owned by MTD however if you want to buy the best MTD has to offer I think the Cub cadet line is still their better tractor but yes those old Bolens were great tractors too. I believe Bolens made tractors for other companies as well. I seen an Oliver garden tractor that I'm pretty sure was actually made by Bolens from the early seventies.

@IndianaJoes it's definately heavy duty, lol.
Its a tube frame, thing looks like it should have 30hp by the size of the engine, but its only 10😁
Does work though.

@Virgo79 there was actually a guy at one of the tractor shows called the power of the past held in winamac every year who sells tires like that. quite honestly I wish that I had the original tires but you cannot find those anymore they don't make them. But another thing that I did not mention is the rear tires are the original tires. My dad never used them and they said in the barn ever since he bought the tractor. One of the very first modifications he did was to put the ag style tires on the tractor. They got much better traction when they was pushing dirt with the blade. They have since then rotted away to nothing but the original rear tires he never used are still like brand new after I polished and scrubbed them. Those front tires are called tri-ribs and they are a 4-in wide by 8 in rim. I think they were about $50 each and they are brand new.
