So which statistic do the "socialism bad" people object to? That 1.52% extra tax obviously, but if they like all the rest then that should be well worth it. So there has to be a lot more they prefer the US version of.
@NerdyPotato They have some weird idea that if pur taxes cover for everyone, we will be paying 75-80% of our income in taxes because they don't understand the government has the right and ability to regulate costs and expenses. They wrongly think these industries will be keeping their regular prices or jacking them up because government contracts are plush free money. So their lack of understanding how these things work, and not wanting to "give" things to people they don't like for racist and bigoted reasons because they have this idea that bootstrapping works and people are just lazy.
