I think about this a fair amount. It would seem that homo sapiens continue to exist because of some instinctual need to reproduce. Then the question is how much love is related to some societal "normal" or a "species need?" Did evolution wire the human brain to have the male so attracted to the female? Without some degree of sexualization, would the species have died off thousands of years ago?
