As ½ of the YouTube super group “Rin on the Rox,” Erin “Rin” Paula and band mate Roxanne “Rox” Ilano burst into the national spotlight by taping performances of Top 40 hits in their bathroom and uploading the recordings to YouTube. The popularity of the duos YouTube channel garnered the attention of various music industry veterans and one former American Idol judge, Ellen DeGeneres. DeGeneres was so amazed by the duos talent that she invited them to her show during one of her tapings. Shortly after her on-air requests to have the ladies on her show, Rin on the Rox accepted and appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in February 2009. The duos appearance on the show also led to appearances at the Grammys and the Oscars courtesy of DeGeneres. Erin Paula has achieved the following accolades on YouTube: (1) 16 Million channel views; (2) #66 most subscribed to channel in YouTube history; and (3) #15 most subscribed to musician channel in YouTube history.
