-The mention of God had Castiel releasing a deep, strangled sigh. He had never met his Creator, yet he had always have faith on him. Unfortunately, his faith had been shattered the day He ignored his pleas to help in the battle against Lucifer and the upcoming Apocalypse. God hadn't done a thing to stop it, and that had poor Cas doubting everything he had ever known. God was an absent father, and things wouldn't change now that the Darkness was free, would they? It pained Cas to think that way, but to him...God was nothing but a coward.-

The Darkness...well, to be completely honest with you, i didn't think it was real until...i saw it with my own eyes. It is an evil force of destruction on itself...and she is angry. Angry at God. She will destroy all of us if we don't find a way to stop her.

-The Angel met her halfway, a small smile spreading across his harsh features at the sight of her.-

There's no need to apologize. A place like this...-Says, gazing around, eyes quickly roaming over the many shelves filled with old, ancient books-...oughta brought the curisioty out of just about anyone. -Finished, gazing back at her as he returned to the table.-

Yes, she and her sisters are very real.
My friends are dealing with them as we speak.

-The latter question aroused his curiosity though, since she's a supernatural being herself...did she not know of the existence of other supernatural beings out there ? Then again, he's a novelty to her as well...isn't he?-

You know...-Of course he'd pick on her uneasiness-...if there's anything you want to ask, it's okay to be specific.
Things haven't quite been the same since...the Darkness was freed. Surely you have felt it too?

-Unless she did not perceive the threat unleashed upon the world a few months ago? The Darkness used to be nothing but a myth after all.-

-While Castiel accompanied the hunt through the phone. There were screams, loud noises, hisses, growls...and when everything became silent all of a sudden, the Angel blinked and tried to reach out to Dean again, hoping he was still holding his phone-

Dean? Is it over?

Sam: Hey, Cas, Sam here.

-Sam on Dean's phone? Huh.-

Did you manage to kill the Gorgon sisters? Where is, uh...where is Dean? Is he okay?

Sam: We got Medusa...the other two escaped. Dean's on them though, left me behind to...do the dirty job. -Sam snorted- Will it actually work though? If i chop Medusa's head off and use it to turn the other two into stone? How will that even work???

It will work, trust me.

Sam:
You know i do. Well...i'll get back to it. Will call you soon, Cas. And thanks for the tip.

It wasn't...-But he stopped himself before he could mention Cassandra, not wanting neither Sam and Dean to worry about having a guest in the bunker.- Anytime, Sam. Stay safe.

-Castiel hung up the phone and when he turned around, Cassandra was nowhere to be seen.(?) Of course he could sense she was nearby even if she was out of sight. Probably decided to explore the bunker while he was on the phone, he mused.-

Cassandra?
-The Angel dropped the phone down on the table and walked out of the library to find her-

-The more time they spend together, the more Castiel learns about Cassandra and her inner wolf. It was very interesting actually. He wonders if the Men of Letters ever wrote a book about a skinwalker with abilities similiar to the ones she posesses. Perhaps they have...Castiel immediately made a mental note to check that out later.-

I am no hero. -When Metatron forced him to take in every pop culture reference in the world, he had become capable of indentifying all references Sam and Dean used to make around him. He identified them, sure, but he never really understood them. That's why the first thing that came out of his mouth when Cassandra asked him about his powers, was an offhand superhero movie remark.- I mean, uh...-Save it, Cas!-...i was created like that, i did not gain any powers, they were just...there.

-Castiel tried to focus on the task at hand then, feeling a little embarrassed about his silly outburst, flipping the pages on the big, open book that sat on the center of the table-

Yes. It all points to a beast neither the Winchesters or I have ever heard about.
-He said, looking up at her since she opted to stay standing instead of sitting down-

Dean said it's supposed to have claws, fangs, a tail, and wings.
-Squints, gazing back at the old, worn out pages-

I first thought of dragons...but they are extinct. -Supposed to be extinct at least- And the dead ones are doomed to wander in Purgatory for all eternity...

But of course.

-The Angel dedicated her a little smile and when he was about to step aside so she could come in, she was gesturing for him to go inside first. Very well then. Castiel went back inside and started leading her down the stairs, into the lobby, which consisted of a large, wide room, with an equally large and wide table in the center. There were a few bookshelves in the back, but they surely did not compare to the huge library that came with the Bunker. It was a Men of Letters Bunker after all. Even the little rooms had bookshelves-

I felt your presence much before you reached my door. -He said, as an answer to her previous question-
We don't receive many visits, no...the Bunker is supposed to be a secret. A hideout. As it was in its golden times, when it was occupied by its true owners.

-And since he was still working on a case, Castiel led Cassandra to the library-

You will have to forgive me...for i am a little busy at the moment.
-Cas stopped by the table and sat on the same chair he had been sitting on the entire time, gaze darting to the open books scattered a bit everywhere-

Perhaps you could be of assistance? -He asked, glancing her way, gesturing for her to take the empty chair across his-

-Castiel was so focused in his reading, he kind of startled when his phone started ringing and buzzing on the table. Sighing, he reached for it and saw the name flashing on the screen. Dean.-

Need anything?

Dean: Look for something with claws, fangs and a tail! NOW! Sam is-... -There was a loud rumble on the other side of the line, followed by a growl, that had Castiel worrying-

Dean? Dean ! Are you okay?

Dean: It has wings too, what the f-... -More loud noises, sounds of stuff breaking- Hurry, Cas! -Click-

-So...claws, fangs, a tail...and wings? Even Castiel looked confused, what kind of creature could it be? Still, he was going to do his research, see what he can find...or he was, until he felt Cassandra's presence right outside the bunker, that is. It was her alright, there was no mistaking it.

Now, he did not forget about the brothers, but he wasn't going to ignore Cassandra either. If she was here, meant she did good on her word and came to visit him, like she said she would. The Angel quickly made his way out of the library and walked through the long, narrow corridor, until he reached the stairwell in the lobby that led to the only exit door in the bunker. And when he opened it, he was stunned for a moment. He knew it was her, even in her human form...which was...quite appealing to the eye, mind you. She was as beautiful as a human as she was as a wolf, that's for sure-

You're here.
-Really-
Uh...would you like to...

-Clears throat, straightens up-
Would you like to come inside? It's...it's just me. -He smiled-

-Castiel's not like most Angels, be barely understands sarcasm...let alone humor. He's often teased about his lack of humor and accused of being...some defective robot because of his peculiar personality. He is what you'd call an autistic being, in human terms. So when the wolf let him know that she was just kidding, he blushed, feeling rather self conscious-

R-right. I...i knew that. -He's also the worst liar that has ever existed-

-Before he could pet her head a last time, she was already backing away, getting ready to leave-

Of course. -He sighed, allowing a little smile to appear on his lips- Until we meet again then.
-The wolf nodded its head as a farewel and then Castiel watched her run off and disappear in the woods-

Goodbye, Cassandra.

-The night had been perfect for a hunt, but the Angel did not consider his attempt at going outside as a waste of time. Not even close. He had made a new friend after all! Not everything was lost. Having nothing else to do at the moment, he walked back to the Bunker. He wouldn't tell Sam and Dean about what happened, that's for sure-
