I Tend to Isolate Myself

People tend to have alterior motives, it's impossible to ignore the truth when you see it. Sliding beneath our own good intentions are someone else's, and their's won't always be like our own. At a certain point people and relationships are just means to an end, hard to tell what's real and what's for sale. Even the one's we've put through the filter are only using from time to time. We eat their lies.

1. Many people are ultimately selfish or dishonest, and what you say probably applies to them.
2. Not everyone is selfish.
3. People always have their own goals, but that isn't necessarily selfish, and there aren't always ulterior motives. Having goals doesn't disqualify relationship. It doesn't mean manipulation.
4. Relationships are a means to an end? Yes, but sometimes that end is just to share your life with someone, in relationship, companionship, friendship and love. There's nothing wrong with that.
5. Relationships are, by nature, about adjustments to each other. It can be a combating of two selfish, manipulative people... or it can be two people who care about each other and work through the differences to suit both. That's my marriage, for example.

@Abstraction I feel very strongly that human conditions and how they interact is an important part of the equation, I just didn't mention that in this post because I'm focusing on one half of the picture. Good points. But this post is also, I think depending on the person I'm dealing with (most people), the final word in the battle for my head.

I like to be alone too. I have dealt with so much of drama in life that I am disliking direct human interaction (face to face).

@Sarin i just find human beings irritating, off late

@SW-User I feel the same way. With few exceptions I've only sensed condescension.

@Sarin I am not introvert or depressed or anything. Just that the people around me in real life aren't the ones I would interact.
I think that honestly people use each other quite a bit but I'm not sure what problem is if there's give and take.....
