Conversation from the past between me and a fellow who worked on pipe organs, and had to deal with church music committees.

One day, Eddie, the organ guy, was bitching to his employer, a pipe organ builder and repairer, about a woman on a music committee that they both had dealt with. She was a bossy pain in the ass.

I stepped into the conversation.

Me: Why do you always seem to find these people, in quantity, in churches ?

Eddie: Well, maybe they need the religion more than others.

Me: Fine, but why doesn't it ever seem to do them any good ?

Hmmm. And you are OK with everything?
