I started The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben yesterday

@Paintedfox It's truly amazing. And the social aspect of life of trees is simply breathtaking. Especially how he describes their social security system and how individuals cut off from the society lose ability to communicate and become vulnerable to pests because they don't get the message from other trees.

@CrazyMusicLover There is a lessons for us humans in his book then.

@CrazyMusicLover Yes! His teachings inspired so much of my art last year. I drew a Yew tree with excruciating detail. Trees sleeping in the winter like old men smoking pipes haha! Hes great. I rarely care for an authors complete perspective but hes one I read intently. Enjoy! Such good stuff.

@Paintedfox That's wonderful that he inspires you. I started drawing trees only last year. Just very rough sketches but I'm glad I started at all. Sadly, I don't feel very comfortable drawing in the woods at this time of the year as the undergrowth is very thick and blocks view. That makes me feel very unsafe just to stand on one spot.
