I Love Reading Books

As a child, I loved fairy tales. Including all the classics like Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty...etc. They were a big part of my childhood.

When I got older, I came to know that they weren’t the original versions. I learnt that the original fairy tales are much darker. So, I got curious and bought a book which has all the fairy tales by The Brothers Grimm.

So far, I have only read about 50 or so stories and bloody hell, they’re far more morbid than I had thought…

The Brothers Grimm were not writing books for the stories. It was about learning early Germanic and other languages. The only way they could get enough info was from stories passed down. Those tended to be fairy tales because that is all the older people could remember from their childhood.

@Henal Did you ever watch the TV show, "Grimm"? It was a cool show. It had that darker slant.

@MySecretIdentity1 No I haven't. But I think it's on Netflix, so I might watch it

@Henal I think you'd like it. The premise is an interesting spin on things. The truth may be stranger than fiction.

@MySecretIdentity1 Okay, I'll give it a go :)
