I Love Reading Books

As a child, I loved fairy tales. Including all the classics like Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty...etc. They were a big part of my childhood.

When I got older, I came to know that they weren’t the original versions. I learnt that the original fairy tales are much darker. So, I got curious and bought a book which has all the fairy tales by The Brothers Grimm.

So far, I have only read about 50 or so stories and bloody hell, they’re far more morbid than I had thought…

@Zaxel Disney Disneyfied them. If you heard the real story of Pinocchio, you'd be freaked out about an evil piece of wood that got made into a puppet.

@Henal i read peter pan a few years ago bc so many references and never knew the original story. i was gonna do the same with other references to fiction but so busy these days >.>, probably when im 40

@Henal peter pan was more of a bad boy in the original, less disney-like lol, and it was interesting how the girl noticed his flaws later and grew from meeting him

@Zaxel Ahh, that kind reminds of the show Once Upon a Time (not sure if you've watched it or not), but peter pan was portrayed as a bad guy. It makes sense now lol
