Let's be honest..despite what your parents tell you-no childhood lessons prepare you for adulthood. One minute you're digging in mud with your mates on a disused railway track, the next minute you're 18 and people expect you to crack on with signing a mortgage and dealing with water pissing through ceilings and people dying and funeral arrangements and making tea edible yet healthy and keeping your hair tidy and cleaning your shoes and keeping enough back for petrol and preferring to give than receive and being polite to people you hate and paying tax and paying a pension and weekly food shops and only drinking on saturdays and regular exercise and control underwear and keeping the love alive and handling loss and visiting the dentist and repeat prescriptions and watching the news and taking an interest in politics and...
