I Am Worried

My dad told me when he went to the doctor, they told him he was a candidate for glaucoma. I'm afraid he's gonna go blind. I heard that happens to a lot of glaucoma patients. My dad has already been through so much. I don't want this to happen to him. I'm also scared because my dad didn't start wearing glasses until he was middle age. He had perfect eyesight before then. I'm worried that can happen to me too because I'm the only one in my family right now who doesn't need glasses and always does well after eye doctor visits. I heard glaucoma is hereditary. What if I get that when I'm my dad's age and I could end up with the threat of being blind too? I've always considered my eyes my superpower because I'm a visual learner. If I lost my eyesight, that would feel like the end for me.
