I Like a Challenge

Mankind has broken through intellectual barriers and physical dexterity. Our architecture, art, businesses, law, and ideas are inspiring. It’s amazing how human beings like you and I have been capable of feats that seem impossible. So many barriers have been broken, so many limits overcome.

If we have pushed ourselves beyond our limits for so much, is it possible to push ourselves past one more?

It is common knowledge that when people get together to talk, if it’s not about ideas or things, it is negatively about people. And not just people we don’t like, we’re taking family, those we call friends, AND those that we don’t like or asked too much from us, who didn’t appreciate, or don’t respond as we would like.

Here is a challenge for myself that I extend to you as well... pay attention. Listen to what people say precisely when they talk about: people. Is something positive being said, or is something negative being said? Are we saying, “Yeah well they should, they shouldn’t, they’re such a ____________ because they did or did not _____________”? Listen to what people are saying. Then let’s look at ourselves. What do we say when we speak about others. What words do we use to describe them? Weird, rude, fake, hypocrite, etc?

If as human beings our species has broken through unimaginable barriers, can this be one more that collectively we battle our own nature to overcome?

Lets break through this one as well! 👊
